I’ve successfully installed it on Windows 7 and 8.1 (with the included SQL 2005 - click through to ignore the error during installation) (with Origins Ultimate retail version) so I know for sure it still works that far.

I’ve had to delete cruft from modules\Single Player\override\toolsetexport as well (not editing Single Player, but exporting resources owned by Single Player). Note that it’s not just packages\core\override\toolsetexport that occasionally gets filled up with garbage files.Though the plot flags SHOULD have been fixed with 1.1 and you probably won’t fuck your saves this is still good practice.Official tool from the game devs! Comes with a database of nearlyĮvery uncompiled game file and can open and edit (though poorly) just about every compiled game file.I’m working on a significantly more complex tutorial atm but since a complete list is too lengthy a diversion to devote a significant amount of time to, here it is separately instead. i hope i made some sense and if anybody is able to take what i said and make it sound any simpler. This is a list of every utility I’ve downloaded for the purposes of modding Dragon Age games. You CAN download a mod called chargenmorph compiler but its never worked for me so this is really in case anyone is struggling like i was with cosmetic mods. i promise you its not once you get used to it, its just incredibly tedious and time consuming. Now that i try to explain, it really does sound complicated. Press save on the main games chargenmorph and then delete the mods one and your done. (so you will have to do a bit of reading and comparing)

(it would be easier to rename it like "newchargenmorph" so you dont get confused with which is which)Ĭopy/paste and line up the lines that are in the mods chargenmorph thats NOT in the main games chargenmorph. How to do so is open up your main game chargenmorphxml file with word or note pad

Now that i know how to combine them its not hard at all, just really annoying. (the main chargenmorphXML file located in your override folder).

the only thing i found complicated was the cosmetic mods like hair, makeup and skin textures because they all have a chargenmorph file and the game will only read one I use this and dao mod manager for any dazips. (your pc/ documents/bioware/dragon age/packages/core/override)
